On March 5th, Apple today rolled out the visionOS 1.1 RC update to Vision Pro users. They invite users to test various new features, one week after the release of Beta 4.
It's worth noting that due to caching issues with Apple's regional node server configurations, there may be a slight delay in detecting the upgrade update in some areas. Generally, it shouldn't take too long, usually within half an hour.
Developers can enable the 'Developer Beta' through the 'Settings' app on their devices, log in with their developer account, and download the new version. Apple recommends backing up the device before installing new software.
visionOS 1.1 supports iMessage Contact Key Verification and introduces Apple headset management functionality for Vision Pro. With this feature, IT departments in companies and educational institutions can manage Vision Pro headsets similar to how they manage iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
According to Apple's testing instructions, users can now place volumetric scenes closer, making it easier to interact directly with the content. This means objects can be placed closer to the user.
