HTC recently announced that its revenue for March was 217 million yuan, with a month-on-month increase of 41.4% but a year-on-year decrease of 57.4%.The cumulative revenue for the first quarter of this year amounted to 594 million yuan, marking a quarterly decrease of 50% and a year-on-year decrease of 39%. At the 2024 Game Developers Conference (GDC), HTC announced a new revenue sharing policy effective from April 1st of the same year, aimed at fully supporting the development of XR ecosystem content and expanding market opportunities. According to this new policy, all PC VR content and new releases for VIVE XR Elite uploaded to HTC's global XR content platform, VIVEPORT, will entitle partners to receive 90% revenue from one-time purchases of games and application content. They believe that developer partnerships are crucial to the development of the XR ecosystem, and this measure will contribute to the rapid growth and innovation of the XR ecosystem.
