The KAON Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for technical collaboration with Vernect, an Extended Reality (XR) solutions company.
Through this agreement, the KAON Group plans to enhance collaboration with Vernect in the development of Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Extended Reality (XR), and other metaverse technologies, aiming to drive market expansion.
The KAON Group is advancing its XR business through its subsidiary, K Future Tech. In 2022, they independently developed specialized 5G XR devices and supplied them to the Police Department. They also participated in the construction project of the metaverse platform for the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Sports Festival.
By obtaining reference materials on XR devices and content supply in the public sector, the KAON Group plans to establish a strategic partnership with Vernect. They aim to leverage their strengths in industrial-grade XR solutions and maximize synergies.
Vernect is a company that provides XR solutions using core technology based on computer vision for real-time detection and tracking of three-dimensional space and objects.
