March 19th Update: At the ongoing GTC developer conference hosted by Nvidia, a new service has been unveiled to assist businesses in streaming interactive Universal Scene Description (USD) scenes from 3D applications to the Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset.
This technology utilizes NVIDIA's latest Omniverse Clouds API, employing the NVIDIA Graphics Delivery Network (GDN) to transmit data.
Attached below is a portion of the content from Rev Lebaredian, Vice President of Technology at NVIDIA's development platform, Omniverse:
The traditional spatial workflow requires developers to decompose datasets, essentially gamifying the dataset.
However, this solution is not suitable for industrial scenarios because in industrial environments, datasets for product factories, city engineering, and simulations are too large.
However, with the introduction of the new Omniverse Clouds API, developers can simply connect to the internet to directly stream their applications and datasets into Vision Pro, enabling fully RTX-based real-time physics rendering.
In a demonstration unveiled at today's Nvidia GTC, Nvidia showcased an interactive, physically accurate digital twin model of a car, which streams in full fidelity to the Apple Vision Pro.
In the demonstration, a designer wore the Vision Pro and used the car configurator application developed on the Omniverse platform by CGI studio Katana. The designer switched paint and decor options, even adjusting the interior, seamlessly integrating the three-dimensional realistic environment with the physical world.
