Recently, there's more good news from Fibocom's 5G RedCap module product line - RG255C-CN has successfully passed SRRC (State Radio Regulatory Commission) certification testing, further solidifying its position as a leading lightweight 5G product in the industry.
Previously, this module has also passed NAL (Network Access License for Telecommunication Equipment) and CCC (China Compulsory Certification). With the "three certificates in hand", RG255C-CN will be able to further break through the barriers to market entry for lightweight 5G products, accelerating the pace of mass production.
In addition to the numerous achievements in certification, RG255C-CN has also taken the lead in completing end-to-end compatibility tests with existing networks. Furthermore, it has continuously achieved new milestones in on-site testing and performance evaluation. These accomplishments demonstrate that RG255C-CN will be able to provide customers in industries such as industrial, power, broadband, automotive, and wearable technology with more efficient and cost-effective solutions.
RG255C-CN is one of the key models in the 5G RedCap series of modules, initially launched by Fibocom. Developed based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon® X35 5G platform, it complies with the 3GPP Release 17 standards and supports 5G Standalone (SA) mode. With a maximum bandwidth of up to 20MHz in Sub-6GHz spectrum, it is also backward compatible with LTE networks, making its performance widely recognized in the market. To meet the diverse global market demands, this series of 5G RedCap modules has been developed into two major versions: RG255C and RM255C, which can cover a wide range of mainstream operators worldwide.
(RG255C-CN possesses the following featuresincluding LGA (Land Grid Array), M.2, Mini PCIe, and others.)
The theoretical peak downlink rate of the Rx255C series is approximately 220 Mbps, with a maximum uplink rate of around 120 Mbps. This is sufficient to meet the transmission rate requirements of various mid-speed mobile broadband devices such as robots, DTUs (Data Terminal Units), drones, smart ports, smart grids, AR/VR wearable devices, educational computers, and other similar devices.
By optimizing antenna count, reducing transmission and reception bandwidth, and employing other techniques, the Rx255C series can achieve advantages such as lower costs, smaller size, and reduced complexity. These features make it suitable for mid to high-speed IoT (Internet of Things) scenarios. Additionally, the Rx255C series also supports dual-frequency GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) positioning with L1+L5 bands and offers a variety of interface functionalities.
As a leading global provider of IoT (Internet of Things) solutions, Fibocom Communications has always been committed to offering industry customers more efficient and comprehensive solutions. In the future, we will continue to explore the application scenarios and trends of emerging technologies such as 5G, further enhancing and upgrading solutions for various industries.
