On April 17th, according to sources cited by Sina Technology, the Taobao app currently available on Apple's Vision Pro App Store is a preview version. The official version is likely to be released synchronously with the domestic Apple Vision Pro, bringing more features when launched.
Earlier this year, there were supply chain reports stating that Apple Vision Pro would be available for sale in China as early as April, "no later than May." The supply chain indicated that the "MIIT registration process for Vision Pro is nearing completion. The initial supply for sales in China will be relatively tight." Apple CEO Tim Cook visited the Apple Store on New York's Fifth Avenue on February 2nd and, when asked about the launch time of Vision Pro in China, said, "I'm not sure about the exact timing, but it will be soon."
According to previous reports, the Taobao Vision Pro version recently launched on the App Store allows users to project products into reality for viewing and comparison with other products using Vision Pro.
Using Vision Pro to shop on Taobao provides a 3D stereoscopic shopping experience. Once Vision Pro identifies a flat surface, products will adhere to that surface with real-world lighting effects. Users can zoom in or out to view product details and can also choose a 1:1 scale to simulate the size of items in the real world.
