On May 7th, JBD announced that during SID 2024 from May 14th to 16th, they will showcase a range of innovative technologies and products, including: the new "Hummingbird Mini II Light Engine," the vertically stacked architecture single-chip full-color "Phoenix" series MicroLED micro-display prototypes, demonstrations and experiences of AR light guide image quality correction solution "ARTCs," and numerous AR glasses based on MicroLED micro-displays.
The new generation Hummingbird Mini II Light Engine has a volume of only 0.15cc, making it the smallest AR light engine in the industry. It maintains an ultra-high luminous flux of 8lm and achieves a significant breakthrough in the lm/cc efficiency index.

It is reported that the MYVU Explore Edition, the XR glasses brand under the Star Era Meizu, launched in November 2023, is the first to adopt the JBD "Hummingbird" series MicroLED full-color light engine. It achieves full-color display through RGB trichromatic light mixing and has a volume of only 0.4cc, making it the smallest color light engine currently available. It weighs only 1g, with a typical power consumption of about 200mW and an output luminous flux exceeding 4lm. Thanks to this, the weight of the MYVU Explore Edition is as light as 71g.
Meanwhile, JBD's latest AR light guide image quality correction system, ARTCs, will also debut at SID 2024.
