Designed specifically for VR headsets, LG launches 10,000 nit peak brightness OLEDoS panel

According to news on May 16, LG recently launched an OLEDoS panel specially designed for VR headsets. The panel has a brightness of up to 10,000 nits and a resolution of 4,000 PPI. It is expected to be used in Meta Quest headsets in the future.

According to news on May 16, LG recently launched an OLEDoS panel specially designed for VR headsets. The panel has a brightness of up to 10,000 nits and a resolution of 4,000 PPI. It is expected to be used in Meta Quest headsets in the future.

Applying high-brightness panels in VR can simulate more realistic lighting effects and make objects shine like in the real world. However, considering battery life, although the relevant panels can reach 10,000 nits brightness, it is expected that VR headset manufacturers will make appropriate adjustments. Adjustments are made to comply with hardware and human health requirements.
