On May 28, the process equipment move-in ceremony for BOE Huacan Optoelectronics' Zhuhai Micro LED wafer manufacturing and packaging testing base project was successfully held in Jinwan District, Zhuhai City, marking a milestone step towards the project being put into lighting production.

Data show that BOE Huacan Optoelectronics’ Zhuhai Micro LED wafer manufacturing and packaging testing base project has a total investment of 5 billion yuan, of which the first phase investment is 2 billion yuan.
After the project is completed, it can achieve a Micro LED wafer production capacity of 58,800 pieces/year and a Micro LED pixel device production capacity of 45,000.00kk pieces/year, which will meet the needs of large-size TVs, commercial displays, AR/VR head-mounted display devices and wearable devices, etc. The needs of ultra-large and ultra-small size high-definition display applications.
In July last year, the BOE Huacan Optoelectronics Zhuhai project officially started construction; in January this year, the project was officially capped; with the move of process equipment this time, the construction of the BOE Huacan Optoelectronics Zhuhai project has once again entered a new stage. According to the previous plan, the project will realize the lighting of the first product in the third quarter of this year, and is expected to achieve mass production in December.
