The main reason is still that consumer VR is currently relatively niche, highlighting that the supporting content resources are not rich enough; while the sales volume of consumer AR equipment was 66,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 62%. At present, the financing activity in the AR field in the domestic market is higher than that in the VR field. Rokid, XREAL and Thunderbird Innovation all have corresponding financing trends. In addition, it is better than VR in terms of practicality and convenience.

CINNO Research also said that from a price perspective, due to the addition of Apple Vision Pro, the overall ASP price of VR equipment continued to rise to 4,124 yuan. The price structure of AR equipment is relatively simple, still dominated by the price range of 2,000-3,000 yuan.

In addition, from the perspective of product form, consumers tend to choose VR all-in-one machines in the Chinese market, with their share as high as 76%. With continuous breakthroughs in optical waveguide technology, the market share of AR glasses has grown for three consecutive quarters.

In terms of brands, foreign VR brands continued to penetrate this quarter, and the share of domestic brands was shrinking, with the share of local brands falling to 83%. The Pico brand is firmly in the first echelon, accounting for 55% of the market share. Meta has jumped to second place due to the hot sales of the Quest 3 series, and Dapeng ranks third. The two are tied for the second echelon. In the AR market, the first-tier XREAL slightly surpassed Thunderbird Innovation, with sales shares of 32% and 31% respectively.

From the perspective of hardware technology, Fast LCD still dominates the consumer VR market screen display, with its share falling to 91%, while Micro OLED’s share has increased for five consecutive quarters.
